American Dipper

I've just returned from a 7949 mile road trip out to Oregon and back to visit family.  Here's a video of an American Dipper that shared the Wind River with us at Beaver Campground in the southern Washington cascades.  Love these guys, and don't get to see them very often these days.

I love the American dipper, and I'm fortunate to live just a few miles from a great river for them - very reliable birding. It often surprises me how people are thrilled to see them - we have to better learn to appreciate the rareness in what we consider common!
