Perhaps in line with my thoughts about peace this New Years, my first bird for 2007 was a
Mourning Dove sitting on the wires behind my house this morning. Hopefully, a token of peace. May we all find a measure of peace in troubled times this New Year.
The loud "chack, chack" of a Northern Mockingbird. Not sure that's a sign of peace, but there may be hope. Mocker followed shortly by a chortling Carolina Wren. Both before even a glimmer of dawn...
