Nice story - makes birding and the GBBC sound like fun, instead of the chore some nonbirders assume it must be. I liked your comments about making birding attractive to the digital generation - I think that's very important and your comments illustrate that it's possible to do without fundamentally changing the activity of gathering birding data.
