From what I've heard, pretty much all of the houses on the Bolivar peninsula have been swept away. Some damage to High Island. Haven't heard about Sabine Woods, but Cameron Parish in LA is wiped out...again. Some folks thinking it may be mostly abandoned now after two direct hits (Rita and Ike).

ReplyDeleteHave you heard if Ike had any impact on some of the Upper Texas Coast birding hotspots? Hopefully everything's intact for the Fall migrants.
