Word on the street is that the AOU Committee has
voted to split Pacific Wren from Winter Wren. That would mean that the birds I grew up with on the West Coast are different from those I see here in Pennsylvania. Makes sense to me. More on the reasons why these are actually considered separate species now

I had my life Winter Wren (about to be Pacific) here in my neighborhood last month. A pretty cool little bird. I have documented four wren species here in my Boise foothills location and I believe I should be able to get Marsh Wren this year to make the 5th.
