So I've been thinking a lot about
the search for a new head of the American Birding Association. I don't have much to say about it at this point, but did have a fun thought: What would it be like if the search were conducted as a reality TV show? What would that look like? What kind of crazy tasks would the contestants be given? How would it all go down, edited for a TV-PG rating of course!?
Tasks
ReplyDelete1) Lead bird walk through a Glenn Beck rally or other Tea Party event.
2) ID nocturnal flight calls
3) Bird calling contest--who will the owls really respond to?
4) Hot dog eating contest followed by rough seas pelagic trip--who can go longest before losing it!?
How bout a fashion show with their own designed birding vests?
ReplyDeleteFind an Ivory-billed Woodpecker. Bring back film negatives - not digital - of bird at close range. Minimum of two dozen shots, plus audio.
