Interesting story indeed. Bird species commonly found in parking lot environments have learned vehicles not to pose a threat, and also to be a source of food. Though I've yet to see it happen, it's often been told to me that the birds feast on the insects captured on a car's radiator grill. The smell of the "freshly baked bird" in the cockpit may be a testimonial of the quality of food served on aircraft.
