Trolls and Anonymous Comments

This is a public blog, and you can see my name over there on the right as the blog owner. I welcome any and all comers to comment here about any of my posts. But I will not be allowing anonymous comments, pseudonyms, or troll comments here. We are all free to disagree with each other here, but we will do so respectfully. If anyone wants to discuss something without making their name known to the world, send me a private email and I can keep things off the record. Otherwise, we all need to meet on the same ground, in the open, and open to the same level of public courtesy and scrutiny.

Now, back to the birds!

I don't blame you and what has been driving me crazy were all of my good friends comments that have ended up in the spam filter!

Isn't Birdchaser a pseudonym? As they used to say at the 8th St. Playhouse during the festivities before a Rocky Horror Picture Show (long, weird reference, I know) "Your mother named you that?!?"

If Wordpress didn't have the astounding Askimet spam filter, I'd have had to shut down comments a while ago. I have only one regular commenter who ever gets shunted to spam; whatever Nuthatch did to those guys, it had to be bad.

Birdchaser is only my blogspot identity. My name is attached to it and readily available. That works for me (and mon@rch, and others), I just don't want to get into a big heated discussion with someone totally anonymous.
